Weimaraner Puppies
On Sunday 3rd August, my friends and I took a drive to a beautiful picture-postcard village in Kent to visit an old friend, Jo Dixon. Whilst it was lovely to see Jo and her family, we did have an ulterior motive. Puppies are wonderful to sit and wile away the hours with but when the litter is by your dog, one approaches these kinds of visits with excitement and apprehension. Will I like them? What happens if I don't like them? Will they be even? Will they look like mum or dad? Or neither? I'll just get my coat... As it turns out, I needn't have worried. For what greeted us, were nine, gorgeous, chunky, playful puppies. Four bitches and five of the smartest males one could ever hope to see. I think most of all though, what struck me more than anything, was the cheeky way in which they moved - strutting along with confident strides which belied their age. For me, nothing beats sitting amongst the puppies and being at their level - watching how they interact amongst themselves, with nature and with me. I like to see how they move around the place, and watch how they are made with everything falling into place - naturally. Here are some of the pictures from our visit. Puppies nearly 7 weeks. Pictures come courtesy of my friend, Heidi Hudson. |
